Antrim Studios is an independent web design studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, founded in 2026. It is not affiliated with Antrim, Nova Scotia, or County Antrim in Northern Ireland. ## Packages (CAD, plus applicable tax) - Cove (Starter website): Build $999 one-time, or Managed $139/month for 12 months with $0 upfront. Yes. With Build, ownership of the transferable website files passes to you once the final payment is made. With Managed, it passes to you after your 12th monthly payment, or earlier if you pay the remaining build balance. Your domain, content, photos and brand assets are always yours. ### What’s the difference between Build and Managed? Build is a one-time purchase: 50% to start, 50% before launch, with your first year of hosting and 30 days of post-launch support included. Managed has no upfront website fee. You pay monthly for 12 months, and hosting, monitoring, backups, maintenance and a monthly allowance of small changes are included throughout. ### What happens if I cancel Managed early? You pay only the part of the website build you haven’t paid off yet, not the remaining maintenance. The formula is the Build price × remaining months ÷ 12. For example, leaving Harbour after five completed months costs $1,800 × 7 ÷ 12 = $1,050. After all 12 payments, there is no buyout charge. ### Do I have to pay a monthly fee after a Build? No. Your first 12 months of hosting are included. After that you can keep hosting with us for $149 a year, choose Steady Care from $59 a month if you want changes and upkeep, or move the website to another suitable provider. ### Can I edit the website myself? Not by default. Most owners send changes by email and we make them: Managed and Steady Care include a monthly allowance. If you need to edit pages yourself, an editable CMS can be added from $350, and it’s included in Beacon if your project needs it. ### How long does a website take? Typically 1–2 weeks for Cove, 2–4 weeks for Harbour and 4–6 weeks for Beacon, once your content is ready and you’ve accepted the proposal. Your written proposal confirms the schedule. Rush delivery is available for a 25% surcharge. ### Who will I be working with? The person designing and building your website. Antrim Studios is a small independent studio, so you won’t be passed between account managers. We can talk by email, phone or video. ### What happens after I get in touch? We review your enquiry and reply by email. If the project looks like a good fit, we’ll suggest a short call and then prepare a written proposal with the scope, price and timeline. ### Will a new website put me at the top of Google? No one can responsibly promise that. Every package includes local SEO foundations: clear page titles and descriptions, a sitemap, Google Search Console setup and a fast, mobile-friendly site. Ongoing local SEO campaigns are a separate service, from $299 a month. ### How much does a small business website cost in Halifax? Prices across Halifax vary widely with the number of pages, who writes the words and any booking or ordering integrations. Ours are published: $999 for up to 3 pages (Cove), $1,800 for up to 7 (Harbour) and from $3,000 for larger sites (Beacon), in CAD plus tax. Or pay $0 upfront from $139 a month for 12 months.
